We don’t need any introduction to the idea of hardware and software and the differences between them. But what if I told you that there is another type of “ware” that is as different from hardware and software as they are from each other?
To understand how unique and potent this “unspokenware” is, we must first understand what hardware and software have in common. I can think of two things that count a lot for me. Both are operated by hand and both consume a tremendous amount of humanities energy.
Hardware and software are often valued by the users according to how much time they spend using them. As such, devices that were given the most attention by humanity ended up being the most sought after.
But that is about to change.
We are moving into the era of (drum roll please!)… Aetherware.
Aetherware is a hardware and software combination that is vastly superior to both hardware and software in isolation in the following respects:
1 – Aetherware has seemingly no user interface. It does not obscure your experience of life while you are operating it.
2 – Aetherware is measured by how little attention it requires, not how much time is spent to operate it.
To put it straightforwardly: Usability will be heavenly. Results will be phenomenal.
For decades, hardware and software have been developing side by side, attempting to integrate with one another. And humanity has been hit from both sides, as we have been at the center of the hardware and software collision of our century. We have collectively and individually been the ones who have directed hardware and software into one another.
We have operated the hardware and the software, guiding them to combine. And let me tell you: A baby that spent decades in the hardware’s belly, has finally been born. That baby is: Eatherware.
Moving into this new era of technology, eitherware will revolutionise your experience, if you choose it. All the energy that was required of you to be the mediator between hardware and software devices of the past, will be given back to you. You can live with all the benefits of modern society, while roaming as freely as we did when we followed the wind.
We are entering the age of magic, in which a single person will be able to perform feats that would have required hundreds of people, weeks to complete. Because what sets eatherware apart, is that it can operate hardware and software without requiring any specific input. Your intention alone will use eatherware to do more than your hands ever could.
Denserware, however, will also be competing for humanity’s attention in the decades that lie ahead. Denserware, however, is a topic for a future post. In the weeks and month’s ahead, we’ll go into great detail as we discuss the end of hardware and software companies as separate entities, and the beginning of eatherware companies.
We will explain why Cape Cognify intends to be the first software company that has no perceivable user interface whatsoever. We want people to experience a life enhanced by technology, not a life drained by it.
Till we meet again, I’m Kye Waters from Cape Cognify, and we are putting life first!
Blessings,
